Emily Irene VanCamp who initially was hoping to be professional dancer, became interested in acting when she visited her sister Katie at the filming location of the film Ladies Room. After she began to take acting classes, Emily Irene VanCamp also got guest spots in television shows across Canada. She was a part of as a guest on several shows in the series Are You Scared Of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp had a career breakthrough when he got a role on the WB horror/mystery television show Glory Days as Sam Dolan. Though receiving positive reviews the series' low ratings unfortunately caused it to be canceled after only nine episodes. The May 12 1986-born actress had a quick time securing a new role in Everwood as one of its principal actors Amy Abbott. The role earned her nominations for the Young Artist Award and four Teen Choice Awards.
